Almansa instruments, from the east coast of Spain, have a well established reputation for quality of tone and construction which well augments the variety of instruments that we are able to offer. All their models have solid cedar or spruce tops (not laminated). Model 401 is available in a gloss or matt (401mm) finish and has a cedar top and back and sides of laminated mahogany. Models 402 and 403 are also constructed from the same materials. The 424 has bubinga back and sides and gold plated machine heads.
All these models have a rosewood fingerboard. The 434, 435 and 436 have laminated rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboards and gold plated machine heads. The 457 has solid Indian rosewood back and sides. 459,461 and Professional also have solid Indian rosewood back and sides and luxury gold plated machines. 435 and 436 and above have cedar necks reinforced with ebony. The Professional jacaranda and Grain Professional Jacaranda models have the beautiful and increasingly rare Brazilian rosewood back and sides.
The electro models are 403E, 435E, 436E and 459E. Specifications are as for models above but these are all cutaways with Fishman electronics (the Classic 4 system with the 403E, the ProBlend with the others), solid cedar tops and nut widths of 49mm.
The Flamencos are 413F and 415 (laminated sycamore back and sides) 447 (solid cypress back and sides) and 459 (solid cypress back and sides with superior machine heads). All have solid spruce tops.
All models have scale lengths of 65cm and nut widths of 52mm.
