The Collings Jumbo, or CJ, is a slope shouldered dreadnought which has a very different sound character to Collings square shouldered guitars. The CJ offers a very rich, warm and deep sound, and an overall greater smoothness of tone, but not quite as much of the sharp edge found in the upper and lower registers of the square shouldered guitars. The choice of Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce are a classic combination, combined with the very comfortable deep 'C' shape neck, rather than the 'V' profile, in Honduras Mahogany, this is a very special guitar. This example is finished in the spectacular vintage sunburst, which is the most popular finish on this guitar, however it is available in natural if you prefer.
