José Ramírez guitars are constructed from aged
woods of the finest quality. Great care has been taken to use no wood before its
time.
Woods that are characteristic of generations past: Honduras Cedar, Cameroon Ebony, German Spruce, Cypress, Indian Rosewood, Jacaranda, and Red Cedar which was first used by my father, José Ramírez III when he discovered its immediate sonorous qualities.
I personally supervise the construction process from start to finish, and all of the guitars must receive my final approval to indicate they are of the highest quality.My desire is to practice the time honoured tradition of my fathers and build the very best guitar possible.

The design features of the student Ramírez guitars, both inside and out, including the template, decoration, tone, and the quality of sound and materials, are exclusively Ramirez. These guitars are made outside the tiny Ramirez workshop, in limited runs, by carefully selected Spanish manufacturers. They are specifically and uniquely built for Ramírez and although their construction is not directly inspected by Amalia Ramírez, these guitars are finally adjusted in her workshop by her craftsmen, and under her personal supervision.
